Maxicare Group and Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Makati public schools

Empowering our youth to grow up healthy, happy, and ready to take on the world takes two dynamic forces working side by side: education and healthcare. Driven by this shared mission, Maxicare Group and the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) teamed up in the true spirit of bayanihan to turn classrooms into vibrant hubs of learning and care through a Brigada Eskwela, while also extending wellness support to our heroic educators during DepEd’s National Teacher’s Month 2026.

Creating unforgettable memories of wellness and learning

For young students, learning sticks best when paired with wonder, laughter, and care. Recognizing this, Maxicare and GBF created Brigada Eskwela 2026 to build experiences children from Makati public schools will always remember.

At Makati Integrated School and Nemesio I. Yabut Senior High School, young students enjoyed interactive storytelling and a theater play of the popular children’s story Ang Langgam at ang Tipaklong. While at Hen. Pio Del Pilar Elementary School, they experienced a “Beat the Rainy Season: Learn, Prevent, Protect” STEM Fair to life, where each booth shared important information about Leptospirosis, Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, Measles, and proper hygiene habits.

To top it off, they received a free eye check-up as part of the strong health and wellness support for children. Additionally, all students who participated in the event went home with Maxicare freebies, equipping children with important lessons and a toolkit to guide them toward a safer and healthier future.

Empowering young learners wouldn’t be possible without our teachers who pour their hearts and dedication into the classroom. To pay back their hard work and undying passion, Maxicare and GBF extended their shared mission to DepEd’s National Teacher’s Month Teacher’s Wellness showcase.

As part of the Teacher’s Wellness showcase, GBF joined three on-ground events, with Maxicare also participating in two of the legs. By extending care across the Cagayan de Oro and Manila legs of the celebration, Maxicare gave away a total of 18 PRIMA Consult+ prepaid healthcare cards, reinforcing their shared commitment to support the primary care of educators.

From classrooms filled with joy to the center stage of National Teachers’ Month, Maxicare and GBF’s Brigada Eskwela 2026 and participation in the Teacher’s Wellness Showcase truly embody the power of bayanihan in action. By guiding young students on how to take care of their health and empowering educators with holistic health access, Maxicare and GBF are paving the way towards a future where Filipino learners can thrive, and every teacher feels supported.
