Easily Verify Medical Certificates with Maxicare

A medical certificate is documentation from your doctor that says if you are healthy or sick. It’s like a note that says you can take a day off work if you are sick. It can also show that you are healthy when you need to travel or start a new job.

It should have important information, such as the doctor’s name, signature, and PRC license number, the patient’s health condition when they got it; and the validity date.

Primary Care Clinics

At Maxicare, the process for verifying medical certificates is simple.

Maxicare has 18 Primary Care Clinics with modern facilities and friendly staff. If your doctor determines you need sick leave or are unfit for work, you can request a medical certificate which will be issued if deemed necessary.

Your employer need only contact Maxicare’s Customer Care (02 8582 1900 or 02 7798 7777; Livechat), which will connect the employer to the issuing clinic to check its validity.

Maxicare Tip #1 – Click here to find the nearest Primary Care Clinic. No need to bring a Letter of Authorization (LOA)! You can walk in any time during clinic hours, but for a more relaxing healthcare experience, we recommend visiting between 4 PM and 10 PM when there are fewer patients and waiting time is shorter. 

Videoconsult powered by the Doctor Anywhere app

If you got a medical certificate via Maxicare’s Videoconsult using the Doctor Anywhere app, it could be validated quickly and easily. Here’s how:

• Click on this link to access the online portal.
• Enter the medical certificate’s ID exactly as shown, including hyphens and case sensitivity.
• If it’s valid, the service will confirm its authenticity quickly.

Maxicare Tip #2 –Download the Videoconsult app from Google Play or App Store to see a doctor anytime and anywhere. To sign up, link your Maxicare account and ensure your app notifications are turned on to receive updates about your consultation history. You will receive an instant notification when your e-medical certificate is ready, and you can find it in the “History” tab in your app.
