Milestones
| 1987 | Group of Doctors from Makati Medical Center and a few Businessmen established Maxicare with a vision for a better healthcare for the country. |
| 1997 | PCIB CIGNA entered into a joint venture with Maxicare to expand operations in the Philippines therefore changing the company name to Maxicare PCIB CIGNA Healthcare Corporation. |
| 2002 | A merger with Equitable Bank changed the company name to Maxicare EPCIB Healthcare. Maxicare also launched the Flexiclaims system. |
| 2003 | Name was changed to Maxicare Healthcare Corporation. |
| 2004 | Maxicare reached its 1 Billion sales. Maxicare opened its Primary Care Center in The Medical City. |
| 2005 | Maxicare launched its Intelligent cards.
Maxicare partnered with Medilink Inc to to use POS terminals in hospitals and clinics for quick validation of membership status. Maxicare opened its Cebu Sales OfficeMaxicare opened Primary Care Centers at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City. |
| 2006 | Equitable PCIB merged with BDOMaxicare opened Delos Santos Medical Center Primary Care Center. |
| 2007 | Maxicare launched its Premium and Platinum CardsMaxicare opened its DLS-STI Megaclinic Primary Care Center.
Maxicare was acquired by Pin-An Holdings of the Antonio Go Group of Companies. |
| 2008 | Maxicare opened its Filomena Primary Care Center located in Makati City. |
| 2009 | Maxicare opened its Primary Care Center in My Health Clinic at Festival Supermall, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. |
| 2010 | Maxicare opened Primary Care Center in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Global City, Taguig.
Maxicare publicly unveiled its two newest products: MyMaxicare for Individuals and Families; and Maxicare Plus for SMEs. Maxicare has transferred one of its Primary Care Centers to a new and bigger location at the Makati Medical Center. Maxicare opened its Primary Care Center in My Health Clinic at Shangrila Mall. |
| 2011 | Maxicare moved to a bigger Visayas Regional Office at Unit 405 Robinsons Cybergate Mall, Fuente-Osmena St., Cebu City. Maxicare publicly announced the opening of its Primary Care Center – Maxicare opened another Primary Care Center at Chinese General Hospital.Maxicare moved its Corporate Office at Maxicare Tower, 203 Salcedo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City. Maxicare offers clients Maxicare Plus Provincial for a more regionally tailor-fitted medical network access for SMEs in the provinces. Maxicare moved to a new and bigger Mindanao Regional Office at 3rd Maxicare Tower officially Inaugurated last Nov. 11, 2011. | 2012 | Maxicare reaches more than 700,000 membership population.
Maxicare hits more than 1,000 accredited hospitals and clinics. Maxicare opened regional offices in Batangas and Pampanga. Maxicare celebrates its 25th Anniversary. |
